Curriculum

St. Rita Catholic School offers a comprehensive broad based curriculum designed to prepare students for appropriate developmental transitions. Children are challenged and enriched in the early childhood, elementary, and junior high programs.

Our stimulating and colorful classrooms offer a setting of self-discovery and exploration of the world. Children learn through playing, exploring and working with others. Our students pray together and learn about God's plans and His gifts. Students at St. Rita Catholic School experience a warm and supportive atmosphere where they are nurtured, valued, and loved.

Our learning environment is structured in order to to provide security, stability and discipline. Our classroom teachers accommodate the various learning style of students. The students work in different settings--one-on-one, with partners, in small groups, and as a whole class.

Teachers use a variety of teaching techniques, learning experiences and assessments. Much of the material is thematically organized. Interdisciplinary lessons are introduced to help students build connections to see a bigger picture. Teachers offer students opportunities to use higher thinking skills and explore topics in greater depth.
