8th Grade

8th Grade

The focus of 8th grade is leadership and service while preparing for life in high school and beyond.  Students serve the school by leading morning prayers, pledges and announcements, assisting in afternoon patrol and serving as sacristans, musicians, and ushers at weekly school Masses.  Eighth graders are also responsible for additional duties that help the school run smoothly while at the same time instill confidence in the students and create life long active and faith filled community members.

English/Language Arts
Students read and write various forms of texts to answer the question, "What is my role as a human and a Catholic?"  Eighth grade particularly focuses on the vulnerable in our society and develops critical reading and writing skills to help defend the vulnerable.
