3rd Grade

Third Grade is a crucial grade when students leap from learning to read to reading to learn.  Students will no longer read simple primer texts but will explore a variety of genre and will acquire essential skills to read informational texts. This year students will be involved in their first service project of their choice.   In previous years, we have raised money to rebuild habitats for animals at the zoo through a Garage Sale.  Also, this year students will have a variety of field trips to enrich their learning of topics such as Nutrition, Economics, Art Appreciation, and Science.
